Arrival

It was a spectacle that repeated itself every year, hidden in a bus hangar at John F. Kennedy International Airport was a convoy of three buses waiting as dozens of young people came in, having to pass the heavy security to protect the passengers from paparazzi. 

The teenagers who piled in weren’t ordinary; they were the future heroes of the world, the latest freshmen at Ravenhold Academy the world’s premiere superhero school. Most were human mutants but some were not; there were strange-looking paramorphs, chimeras, even the odd alien that made the bus hangar look like a menagerie… or maybe a circus show.

Each of them had earned their acceptance, by applying through the online exams, being recommended by one of the world’s esteemed heroes, or even given a second chance after having strayed on the wrong path. 

This was where their story began.
